pickI saw something on Twitter about California possibly seceding which reminded me about this book. This is a nice little dystopian/zombie novel set in Chicago 2080. California has seceded, the environment is shot, and only the rich & powerful are allowed comp. Healthcare which is granted to them via an implanted chip. I liked that the MC was a WOC. This is a first novel so it's not perfect, but I enjoyed this one. There is a sequel as well.
