Definitely not continuing with this series. None of the characters are likable. Jenna, the MC, is probably one of the most unlikeable by far. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of strong character relationships, especially when the story sets up a strong mother-daughter bond at the very beginning only to do nothing with it. Everything just happens, because. There never seemed to be an actual story being told. I didn‘t care if ⬇️
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm characters died so there was zero tension in battle scenes. Jenna pulls plot devices out like she has an endless supply. Some of the bits pertaining to Celtic lore were intriguing and so it gets the extra .5 rating. This was my #DoubleSpin for January. 2y
