Meh. Not as good as their first memoir, Used and Rare, about becoming book collectors. 📖 Too many tangents in this book: a short one about William Morris and his Kelmscott Press, a longer one about Virginia Woolf and the whole Bloomsbury group, and an egregiously long tangent about them at the auction of books and things from the house of Edward, Duke of Windsor, and Wallis Simpson in the late 90s (snore 😴 ). 🤪 3 🍅 Also yuppyish restaurants.
I'm not a book collector, but I love the Goldstone's stories about the hunt! #currentlyreading #nonfiction
This. Is. Amazing. I can't wait to dig into this gift from one of my colleagues. She's such a warm and generous person ☺️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!!! I've been eyeing this title for so incredibly long. 😁 #LitsyLovesLibraries
Slow Friday means some extra reading time on the computer👊 I just started this book about book collectors, which I once saw a recommendation for somewhere (probably here😂).
Edited to note: the first chapter is absolutely charming📚📚📚
