This book could be used as a LC. It is more appropriate for older grades as it is violent. This is a book that has many tales including Aladdin. http://www.learner.org/libraries/engagingliterature/responding/lessonplan.html This lesson plan is for LCs in 3-5 grade. UDL principles are 2.1-clarify vocab, 3.1- supply background knowledge. ELL principles are 2-cooperation & 6- monitor comprehension.#ucflae3414f17

DrSpalding When you see tales… That eludes to traditional literature. That also aligns with the violence. TL in its original form was quite violent; the variants are more appropriate for young children. 6y
