I would read this to 2nd and 3rd graders. It's a bigger book so I think it is geared towards older elementary kids. The pictures and words are great for 2nd and 3rd graders who want to read poetry books.

This is a poetry book. This book shows a lot of imagery. These images are related to children's delight because they are so colorful and exciting. Each image shows the children what the children are talking about.

Pickpick

This book is a poetry book with a sprinkle of hip hop. It gets students excited to read poetry and will allow them to have a fun time practicing poems with different beats. This would be great to use as a Readers theater.
