pickThis collection has a wonderful combination of straight forward poetry and more abstract poetry. This is a great bridge between more obvious poetry collections and more abstract collections. Reminded me of Whitman in places.

It‘s nature poetry-ish (no oceans, yet @TheBookHippie but Ireland‘s an island so I suppose we‘ll get there eventually) but it took an interesting turn during a description of spent shells from fired guns (“acrid, brassy, genital, ejected”).
