City of #Promise is the 4th in a 4 part epic story of #NYC. I‘ve only read about 100 pages of the first one but was lucky enough to pick all 4 up at a library sale. At almost 600 pages, to me these are chunksters so while I was loving the story, I got intimidated by the length and haven‘t finished the first yet. I #promise to some day. Hopefully this year.

@squirrelbrain have you read these #NYC books yet?

SaraFair Yes, I read the first also. I enjoyed it, but as the book went along it became less interesting to me. Can‘t imagine reading them all! 5y
squirrelbrain I haven‘t read these - they look good though! 5y

On the flip side of death is #life. Not only is this series about the life and history of one family but I feel like it's the life and history of New York as well. #junebookbugs
