Motel showers were always a crapshoot. The temperature always seemed to hover between “weakly warm” and “human lobster.” And there was always the chance that you could find new friends with more legs than you, scuttling out from under the shower curtain. I really hated that.

Lighthearted road trip romance between an uptight vampire and his accident-prone, free spirited chauffeur.

This was a sweet, chic lit novella. Having only made it halfway through The Nice Girls quartet, I found this short story to be better, filled with cuter jokes and better characters. Nice Sunday evening break!

Day 14 #AndItsAugust #Drive made me think of road trips which I hated as a kid as I got seriously carsick packed in the station wagon🤢(my siblings would try to bribe me with a quarter each to not throw up)🤣These books all involve road trips-some with unique companions like vampires, werewolves, American Gods & an alligator.🐊The only one I wasn't fond of was Joan Didion's road trip essays. I like driving & roadtrips now but it's difficult 🏝🚙😆
