Are you freaking kidding me!? That ending! Seriously? What? No! 😳 So that was my reaction.
I Finished Thunderbird the fourth book in the Miriam Black series today, & that ending 😱 I did not see that coming. its another 5⭐️ that's all you need to know. I'm not doing a review, it's best going into these beauties blind. #chuckwendig #reader #bookworm #booknerd #bookseries #bibliophile #review #thunderbird #bookish

Love this series and this fourth book is not an exception. Miriam is growing, even, and becoming more human even as her supernatural side works her over.

I was introduced to Miriam Black as an anti hero last year and I tore through the series with eager anticipation for book 4. The problem is by book 4, the same jokes in book 1 start to miss a bit and the character should grow. This was almost my first so-so Miriam Black book. I almost didn't finish it. It follows the same pattern and has a few of the same scenes as the other books too. It was goodish.

BookBoggart I'm still miffed they changed the cover art. For a show, that I've seen no word on if its actually being made. 😤 7y
ReadingEnvy I loved the first one, and the cover with the birds coming out of her hair, gah. 7y
NerdyRev Yes, the old covers were great. I guess STARZ is doing a show, but I have not seen anything yet. 7y

I actually forgot I had this on my Kindle as it was a pre-order and it loaded one day and I missed it. Starting today as Miriam Black has become one of my favorite anti-heroes!
