I'm not doing a review of this one yet because I'm not sure how to feel. It was a lot, to say the least. It was a very heavy read. I felt like the last 20 pages I just kinda wanted it to be done. Not to say it wasn't good, but it was heavy in a way that became unenjoyable. I like the haunted house aspect the most. I would definitely look into trigger warnings before reading this one! It does have a gorgeous cover!

I still remember the first time I read The Shining a few years ago. Alone, in my house, during a 6ft dump of snow. I've never been so creeped out by a book in my life. The atmosphere was just so spot on I even had anxiety throughout my read. It was so perfect. So now to me it will always be a holiday book.
The twist at the end of this book was a total wtf. Still not sure how I feel about the book as a whole yet.

This last week and a half has been hell on wheels. Between friendships I thought I had exploding in my face. Deactivating fb, going through a massive depression episode. I have adopted the what doesn't kill you makes you stronger mind set as best I can. I mostly just look at this bean and remember she is always happy to see me. Her love is unconditional. With her, a cloudy day and a good book. I can be okay for a little bit in this chaotic world💜
