Gypsy Law
Gypsy Law: Romani Legal Traditions and Culture | Walter Otto Weyrauch
1 post | 1 read
A unique collection of scholarly essays gathered and reprinted from American Journal of Comparative Law (1997) and the Yale Law Journal (1993) on the legal traditions of the Roma, or Gypsies. A fascinating account of how a primarily alien culture functions in a larger social context.

It‘s a really interesting book about an elusive subject because of the nature of Rom culture. Though I did learn quite a few things about that culture, I think, it‘s really interesting in the way that it critiques our own culture in an interesting way regarding laws and law. I recommend it if you really like food for thought when you read.
