#Riotgrams #day8 #BooksLovedAsATeen I adored this High Fantasy series when I was a teenager, I still love them now. Even though the main character, Thomas Covenant, is one of the most unlikeable men ever written, he's still riveting to read about, and the concept of The Land, with its hurtloam, firewraiths, gravelingas, Revelstone & giants, has to be one of the most unique worlds ever written. Brilliant.

Lizpixie @LauraBrook they are, thank you! I'm able to make out the words on a page now without having to squint & strain. I'm still having problems with focusing at times & the floaters still make it look like I'm trying to see through cobwebs & if I move my eyes too quickly I get like a swimming sensation, but actually seeing words on the page has improved 100%🎉 7y

TK-421 Ooh! Love those editions! These are some of my favourites too. Have you read the second chronicles and last chronicles? I just recently finished a reread of all of the books so I could finally read the last book. 7y
Lizpixie @TK-421 these are my originals from the 80s. I have the second chronicles as well and the first book of the last chronicles but I haven't read it yet. The first two I've reread so many times in the last 30yrs I could probably recite full chapters from memory. My first adult high fantasy obsession❤️ 7y
