I love most of Sandra browns books because I know what I‘m going to get - a mystery with plot twists, steamy romance between an unlikely pair, and a fast paced story that‘s direct &interesting. However, this book was a bust because the storyline is just bizarre. On a search to find out what happened in her mothers death, The protagonist ends up falling in love with her mother‘s lover and a relationship develops from there. Not missing out w this

Wasn't horrible, but not my favorite. I won't keep the book and will probably not read much more of her work.

I think maybe I should have spent my free 2 hours before dinner searching how to use frozen riced cauliflower instead of reading...

🤔... I felt weird... since the men who fell 😍 with heroine are the ones who fell 😍 with her Mother. And they‘re potential step daddies materials. I didn‘t like the 📚 Nor dislike it. It‘s an 👌 read for me. Alex wants to reopen her mother‘s murder case and she knows that the real culprit is still out there.
