The Sven Hassel Collection
The Sven Hassel Collection | Sven Hassel
2 posts | 2 read
From the fight for survival against the ferocious Red Army and the icy, shell-ravaged wastes of the vicious Russian winter, to the bloodiest battles on the Eastern Front, Sven Hassel's gripping novels are based on his own experiences in the German army. Convicted of deserting the German army, Sven Hassel was sent to a punishment regiment on the Russian Front. He and his comrades were regarded as little more than dispensable killing-machines, cannon fodder for Hitler's war. His unflinching narrative takes us to the most extreme outposts of war, where soldiers face an inferno of blood and butchery. THE SVEN HASSEL COLLECTION includes all 14 books in Sven Hassel's series and exclusive extra material.

I'm mad at my review that I only had 500 characters to explain fourteen books! Sven Hassel is my favorite author. He really writes books the way I wish I could write them. His easy to read flow with his original characters and the shit all of them get into is just hilarious at times. I would say it's a very dark comedy drama. There's times where you cry laughing, times where you just cry, times where you get mad and curse the book. I love it, guys

Pickpick

I just want to say that I'm upset that I only have 500 characters to review an amazing collection of books by Sven Hassel. I guess I'll just say that if any of you like "All Quiet on the Western Front"? Well, this is thousands of times better. The stories, the characters, the fact that once you start one of the fourteen books in the collection - you won't be able to put it down! I read all 14 books in less than one month. S.H. is an amazing author
