Getting my outdoorsy reading done just in time for...October?? #northernhemisphereproblems #toochillyfortents
350 pages and all I'm left with is intense sympathy for White's long-suffering wife and the sneaking suspicion that I will scream the next time anyone describes anything as "nut-brown."
Why did I check this out and why am I still struggling to get through it? I don't even LIKE camping!
White dazzles w/ this funny & engaging history of camping in America. From 19th-century woodcraft to backpacking to family tent camping to “glamping”, he covers it all. The chap in which he rents an RV & tries to drive his family across Arizona back roads is worth the price of admission alone.-Rico

Camping and books are two of my a favorite things, so naturally I'm super stoked that I got this ARC last month from LibraryThing!
