Just finished my last book for the month! Lincoln's Greatest Speech was wonderful insight into the second inaugural speech. Recommended if you are interested in the backstory of the words chosen by the President. #mayroundup #bestofmay

Less than two hours left! I can make it for this month!

This is what my current #bookrut looks like..

HP is audiobook with the monsters. Intrigued by The Great Passage, one chapter in as of tonight. Picked up Still Life but not started. Wild Magic is work audiobook. Grunt is meh, might bail. A Mile Wide is good, but need to feel that kind of read. Lincoln is excellent but a slow read when my brain can handle. Life and work have been too hectic to give the book time to absorb.

This whole section about Lincoln's appearance is engaging! Whitman's (yes, THAT Whitman) quote above is grand!
The idea that Lincoln's personality came to life to the people via the ear, not the eyes, was not a secret. Even to Lincoln himself. #litsypartyofone (and some snoring dogs)
