I would definitely use this book in my elementary classroom. The author does a great job of accurately portraying Abraham Lincoln's life. It is written in a way that is understandable for young children. It is important for young children to learn about past people who helped shape America.

He traveled to Mississippi and there he saw a slave market for the first time. He began to study law and ran for office many times. He then married. He then was chosen to run for president and he was elected. He vowed to end slavery. He led the war against slavery; the Civil War. He was shot on April 14.

This would be great for lower elementary students.
