I would definitely have this book in my classroom library. It would be there for any of my students to read about any of the 52 different women. If I was teaching a specific lesson or introducing my kids to a certain woman, I would use this book if she was in there.

This is another book I would definitely use in my classroom. I would read it to my students to let them know it is okay to stand up for what you believe in and it is okay to be different and out there. It is a good book to show the kids to believe in themselves to stand up for their rights and to do the best thing.

This is a biography book. It is about an immigrant, Clara. When she arrived in America, she didn't speak any English, and she didn't know women had to work and how they traded an education for labor. She worked by day (shirtwaist factory) and studied at night time. She didn't accept that women were treated unfairly so she made a difference and stood up for what she believed in. I would use this book to my class to describe how the atomic bomb was first discovered and used. The illustrations are amazing and show just how an atomic bomb explodes. I think my students would get a kick out of learning about this.

The book includes very famous feminists who have spoken up for their rights and defended themselves and other women. This book is presented in a clear way that young children can understand. The author uses sources and facts and they are accurate.

I really enjoyed this book. I learned a lot about Ginsburg. I would read this to my class to insure them to always follow their dreams no matter what society thinks. It is really cool that she is one of two EVER female Supreme Court Justices.

This is a nonfiction book about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She is an American lawyer and a Justice of the Supreme Court. She is only the second female to be on the court. This book tells the justice‘s story through the lens of her many famous dissents, or disagreements. The author's note lets us know that she did a lot of research on Ginsburg and has supported facts.

I would definitely use this book inside my classroom because I want my kids to know who Mother Teresa was because she changed many lives and was a kind, amazing, courageous woman.

This is a biography book about Mother Teresa. She was a catholic nun who helped the poor. She founded a missionary to help those in need. At a very young age, she loved to read and became fascinated by books about missionaries and helping people. At the age of 12, she devoted her life to God and the religious life. This is a great biography filled with interesting and true facts about her life.

“I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!“

I would use this in my classroom of first or second graders. They will love the curiosity if the prince will find a princess. The classic fairytale book has beautiful illustrations that all kids will love to see and read.

This is a children's fairytale book. It is about a young woman whose royal identity is established by a test of her sensitivity. The prince wants to meet a real princess. So one day when she knocks on the door asking for a place to stay, she sleeps on the bed and tells everyone she can't sleep because she feels a pea in the bed. That is how they know she is real! She is most known for her appearance in “Breakfast at Tiffany's.“ This biography includes her life before all that, and how she grew up in a Nazi-occupied Europe. She learned that kindness surpasses all and spreading love is the best thing to do. This book encourages children to be kind and never let mean people get to you. The illustrations reflect accurate facts.

I would read this book to my classroom when introducing my students to history and Hitler and the nazis and how Ann Frank was a significant young woman in the hiding of Jewish people and her diaries.

This biography uncovers her life before the secret annex and the traumas of hiding. This is an interesting book, and I didn't know about Ann Cole Lowe, but I enjoyed reading it and learning about her life. I would read this to my classroom to show my students how to never give up on your dream no matter what challenges you may face. Like Ann, she didn't let her race get in the way of fulfilling her dream of becoming a fashion designer.

This is a biography about the life of fashion designer, Ann Cole Lowe. The book begins with how she loved to sew at such a young age because her grandmother taught. At the age of 16, her mother died. She wanted to do something to make her mother proud, so she began sewing dresses & selling them as her own little business. Since she was African American she had to study fashion in a separate room at school. This book uses facts and has sources.

“I believe in a president whose views on religion are his own private affair.“

I would definitely use this in my classroom of older elementary kids. I would especially use this when teaching my kids about past presidents and how they affected the United States. I would also read this when talking about this decade in US history.
