Mogworld
Mogworld | Yahtzee Croshaw
In a world full to bursting with would-be heroes, Jim couldn't be less interested in saving the day. His fireballs fizzle. He's awfully grumpy. Plus, he's been dead for about sixty years. When a renegade necromancer wrenches him from eternal slumber and into a world gone terribly, bizarrely wrong, all Jim wants is to find a way to die properly, once and for all. On his side, he's got a few shambling corpses, an inept thief, and a powerful death wish. But he's up against tough odds: angry mobs of adventurers, a body falling apart at the seams and a team of programmers racing a deadline to hammer out the last few bugs in their AI. *Mogworld is the debut novel from video-game icon Yahtzee Croshaw (Zero Punctuation)! With an exclusive one-chapter preview of Yahtzee Croshaw's next novel, Jamcoming to bookstores in October 2012! *Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw's video review site, Zero Punctuation, receives over 2,500,000 unique hits a month, and has been licensed by G4 Television. *Yahtzee's blog receives about 150,000 hits per day. "The first legitimate breakout hit from the gaming community in recent memory." -Boing Boing

Thinking back on previous books. I enjoy how the rating scheme for them on here includes metal horns. 😭 This is especially wonderful because I am an avid listener of underground metal.

A fast, but enjoyable listen. Between deeper reads this was a nice escape.

I‘m a couple hours late, but I‘m doing it anyway. 😜

1. This one is tough, but Mogworld has a special place in my heart from my years of World ofWarcraft.

2. World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Diablo 3, in recent years, and Super Mario Brothers, Sonic The Hedgehog, Spiro, and Crash Team Racing from back in the day.

3. Queen. (Yes I know they started in the 70‘s)

4. Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Willow, Ferris Beuller‘s Day Off, Little Mermaid

kamoorephoto Too many answers for movies....I can‘t list them all... 6y
Sophoclessweetheart My favourite sci-fi has to be The Martian. I adore that book. Artemis was amazing too. X 6y

JoScho Yes but Queen has some amazing stuff in the 80‘s ❤️ 6y
TheRiehlDeal OMG, 😍 Crash Team Racing when I was younger. Countless hours playing it. Definitely need to make a remastered version for it for the PS4. 6y
GypsyKat @TheRiehlDeal That would be awesome! 6y

As a lover of video games (especially considering that I was hard-core playing World of Warcraft at the time) I really loved this book. #SciFi #Gammer #VidioGames #READATHONBLOB @Liberty

BookFreakOut This sounds great! 😂 7y
GypsyKat @BookFreakOut I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were bits of humor too that I remember laughing out loud at. I should mention though, I am kind of quick to laugh. 😉 7y
