Pickpick

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is a prequel to Staveley‘s Unhewn Throne trilogy &follows a side character‘s origin story. She wasn‘t a character I connected to in the original series, but now I want to go back & reread, paying closer attention to her and her storylines. This had little bits of everything: mystery, action, world building.&for being about someone who worships the god of death, it was actually a lot less violent than the other books in this series.

Not many books make me as emotional as this one's ending did! Such a good book from beginning to end with wonderful and thought-provoking insights on love, life, and death! Highly recommend this read.
