An emu round-up with the irascible wildlife conservationist Dr. Blake! And Meg‘s family tree grows ❤️ More new characters to love and a sprinkling of characters you love to hate 😄

Librarybelle Yay! I seriously need to read this series! 9mo
mabell @Librarybelle I think you‘d like it! Donna Andrews is such an intelligent writer, with plenty of wackiness and wit. 😄 I tend to get stressed by a lot of cozies with so much drama and nasty characters, these have a little of both, but overall they are positive and relaxing. 9mo
mabell @Librarybelle It is a series that I think is best read somewhat in order. But, breaking my own recommendation, I‘m switching the next two to read Die Like an Eagle next since it‘s baseball/summer and Lord of the Wings is Halloween. 😂 9mo
Librarybelle Haha! I have the first few in the series, so it‘ll be easy for me to start with the first. I am totally one who needs to read in series order. 9mo
mabell @Librarybelle I hope you enjoy them! 9mo

This remains one of my favourite cozy crime series. Consistently funny and inventive, this one expands the gang a little and has a different location.

There was a bit of a dip in the first books after Meg had the twins, but it's bounced back now the kids are older and Meg has more autonomy again. And I have totally respect for Andrews for not rushing Meg & Michael's relationship earlier in the series and taking time to get to marriage and kids.

Bed time book here tonight is a Meg Langslow mystery. I love this series so much: there were already more than a dozen when I discovered them and I glommed my way through as many as I could get cheap 2nd hand. Now I have to wait for my next fix. This popped up for cheaps on Amazon the other day and I snapped it up.

BeckyD I love that series. It is so funny. 7y
Verity They're some of the best punny titles too @BeckyD 😀 7y
