The two books in back were handpicked for us from future mother in-law, as a children's librarian she gifts every member of the family a Christmas picture book with a personalized message each year. ❤️
pickI taught this book in English 102 years ago. It was nice to revisit Mattie and relive her encounter with Wesley, a 16 year old juvenile delinquent. Edgerton captures small town Southern life nicely and portrays it with a deft sense of humor.
