Beyond Belfast
Beyond Belfast: A 560-mile Walk Across Northern Ireland on Sore Feet | Will Ferguson
1 post | 2 read | 1 to read
"Offbeat and charming, and filled with humour, insight, and a wide array of eccentric characters, Beyond Belfast tells the story of one man's misguided attempt at walking the entire Ulster Way: a 560-mile path that circles Northern Ireland, from the city walls of Derry to the moorland heights of the Sperrins, from the green glens of Antrim to the Mountains of Mourne. Along the way, Will Ferguson, grandson of a Belfast orphan, uncovers his own hidden family history. There are clues about a lost inheritance, a mysterious photograph, rumours of a vast estate: the truth when it comes is both surprising and funny..."--Publisher's website.

Saw someone reading this on the bus today! Perhaps it's a sign to add it to my to-read list.

Libby1 Oh good gracious, @rabbitprincess ! I‘ve probably either been to or lived in most of the places mentioned in this book. Into Mount TBR it goes. Do you have an interest in Northern Ireland? 6y
rabbitprincess @Libby1 I do indeed. One day we will make a trip there! All I've seen of it to date is the train route from Dublin to Belfast and the ferry to Stranraer. 6y
Libby1 @rabbitprincess - wonderful! I live along that train line. ☺️ 6y
