One of my goals for 2020 is to get better at promoting myself and my books. Step 1: figure out how the hell to do that.

Yesterday I attended a networking class as part of my librarian course. It's all aimed at that elusive job, making contacts in the industry and generally ourselves out there. According to my lecturer networking can lead to some awesome adventures but I can't say I'm terribly good at it. Anyway, I light of all this I thought I'd send a shout out to all the litsy librarians and ask what you like best about your job.

ReadingSusan I love planning and executing programs. I love the warm glow of offering so many free programs to our community! 6y
BookishTrish I love helping people learn that technology can be learned in the spirit of play. 6y
Joanne1 @ReadingSusan and @BookishTrish I love both your responses. That's the kind of thing that makes excited about this new career path. 6y
SaraBeagle I love working directly with students, so one on one reference is my fav. Especially when you get to see their light-bulb moment or when they come back to tell you the awesome grade they received!!!! 6y
