Read the books that inspired the How to Train Your Dragon films! This book will be a hit with children and adults alike. THE STORY CONTINUES in the third volume of Hiccup's How to Train Your Dragon memoirs ... Haddock III was an awesome sword-fighter, a dragon-whisperer and the greatest Viking Hero who ever lived. But it wasn't always like that. Hiccup's memoirs look back to when Hiccup was just an ordinary boy, and finding it very hard to be a Hero. Climbing on to a Roman Dragon Rustling ship by mistake in your first 'Boarding an Enemy Ship' lesson is bad enough. But to then discover that Alvin the Treacherous is also on board proves to Hiccup he couldn't have been more wrong, especially when he steals his copy of How to Speak Dragonese. Can Hiccup save the dragons and the day? How to Train Your Dragon is now a major DreamWorks franchise starring Gerard Butler, Cate Blanchett and Jonah Hill and the TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network. Read all of Hiccup's exploits in the series: How to Train Your Dragon, How to Be a Pirate, How to Speak Dragonese, How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse, How to Twist a Dragon's Tale, A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons, How to Ride a Dragon's Storm, How to Break a Dragon's Heart, How to Steal a Dragon's Sword, How to Seize a Dragon's Jewel and How to Betray a Dragon's Hero. While I did enjoy the first two books of the How to train your dragon series I still wasn‘t that much intrigued and not very motivated to continue the series. Today I started with the Audio for the third book (all the audio book of the series are on youtube) - and I‘m in LOVE! David Tennant is brilliant (as always). I highly recommend the Audio books!🤩 I‘m even looking foward to going to work so I can listen on😂😂😂

PhyllisH David Tennant‘s narration is the reason I purchased the Audible version🥰. 3y

The Plot is a bit predictable by now. Fishlegs and Hiccup gets into trouble and by some crazy plan gets out of it again.
But Cressida keeps throwing new characters and dragons at us; more than making up for plot predictability

It‘s a good morning at work when what you‘re doing doesn‘t require a lot of concentration, and so you spend the first 45 minutes of your workday listening to the last quarter of your audiobook. It‘s even better when that audiobook includes David Tennant reading certain characters with hilarious (and entirely fitting) Welsh and Italian accents.

This was another pick... in large part—but not only—because of David Tennant‘s narration. 😁

Iblu I agree with you about the reader of audiobooks playing a large part in the audiobook selection 🤩🤩🤩 7y

I'm home from a great weekend road trip to visit a few long time friends. It included a visit to Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee, the Paducah Riverwalk, the Cape Girardeau Mississippi Riverfront, and this beautiful view from Trail of Tears State Park. Tonight on the final portion of my drive I enjoyed listening to another fun book in the How to Train Your Dragon series.

"The sea was breath-quenchingly cold."

I'm not sure that's a real word, but I don't care because it's so wonderfully descriptive!

My family has a very busy weekend, so I won't have tons of time for #litsypartyofone, but I'll update when I do read! It's late, due to attending a show this evening, but I'll finish my evening with a bit of listening with my ears, courtesy of David Tennant.

Shaunesay I love those so much! 7y

Really enjoyed this one - involving some new characters including a girl Viking who cracked me up! Sadly have to wait til the next book is turned in to continue.

This is probably the saddest part so far in the book series-which is quite different from the movies and tv series.
And it's even sadder *because* Toothless isn't a Night Fury in the books. I'm not even sure they exist in the book world. He's really small, and so he can't defend himself very well. 🙁
