More of my uncle‘s bread + new book. This one from my freebies stash has a dismal Litsy rating, but I found the first two chapters promising. Fingers crossed.

I‘m gonna post a book (or series) from my TBR every day until I‘ve shared the lot. No descriptions. No explanations. Just a whole bunch of books I haven‘t read yet.
This is Day 7.

Do you ever read a scene and crave the movie version? I mean, Bohdi (affectionately nicknamed “Angel of Death”) appears (literally out of thin air) dressed for a Hindu wedding, magical Glock in each hand, lollipop in mouth, and takes out a serious number of armed and armoured soldiers. He also has tears in his eyes because he doesn‘t like killing, he‘s just very very good at it.
(From the short story “Rush”, not the tagged book but same series.)
The author does Loki justice, and I like her adaptation of the myths. The writing itself is middling, and minus points for ending practically mid-paragraph. I know it‘s a multi-book series but it‘s not a TV-series so cliffhangers are not cool. The main human character is a bit dull. Her dog and her grandma are more interesting and quicker witted. But all in all a quick fun read and I‘ll get the next book if it doesn‘t cost too much.
Wasn't really sure what to do about "based on Norse mythology" for the #SFFTBRchallenge especially since I already re-read American Gods a few months ago. But my Kindle hold untold surprises and "A Loki Story" sounds like it should fit the prompt. Question is, will I love it, or hate it for messing up the myths of my ancestors?

Now I am determined to find Loki oriented quotes for all of these 😆
