Meet Cheryl Cooper who left a banking job in Columbus, Ohio, to run a gift shop, the Swiss Miss, in Sugarcreek while her Aunt Mitzi fulfills an overseas missionary call. Cheryl is just getting over a bad breakup with her longtime fianc and is looking forward to a slower pace among the Amish community. But as she explores a neighboring corn maze, she overhears a man's menacing voice making serious threats. Upon her return from the unsettling experience, Cheryl discovers an ominous note and then a foreboding message in a Bible. Were they written by the same person she overheard in the maze? Cheryl joins forces with Naomi Miller, the woman who supplies the Swiss Miss with homemade treats to find out the answers. But can they catch the culprit before his frightening intimidations are carried out?

I love reading cozy mysteries so I was excited to stumble across this series at my local library! I really enjoyed it and definitely plan to read the others in the series!

Hello all! We moved last week and I‘m downsizing my books a tiny bit. 😬 I remember posting about this series awhile ago and said I would pass along the collection. Was it you @robinb ? I remember someone wanted them for their aunt or grandma or something. If it‘s not you, is anyone else interested? I have the second book but I haven‘t finished unpacking yet.

JenlovesJT47 For free in case that wasn‘t clear! 😁 5y
robinb Oh wow, Jen! You have an amazing memory...that‘s been awhile! Yes, I have an aunt who would love these! I‘d be happy to pay something for them!! That‘s so generous! Send me an email and we can work out the logistics. 😊😊😊 Thanks for thinking of me! 💕 robinb.litsy@gmail.com 5y

Any fans of Amish fiction out there? I enjoy reading these because it's like an escape into another world - simpler, slower paced. Although they are not without their problems just like everyone else! My mom gave me a huge stack of these hardcover Amish mysteries, which are always fun. My favorite part about Amish books is the description of the food! 😱 They certainly eat very well - don't read them when you're hungry! #amishfiction #mystery

Rachbb3 Nice! 7y
JamieArc @JenlovesJT47 Amish books are a guilty pleasure of mine at Christmas time (with Christmas themed ones) 😊 7y
JenlovesJT47 @JamieArc oh I really love the Christmas ones! There's a discount store by my house that has a whole section of Christmas books, mostly Amish ones. Luckily they range from $1.99 to $2.99 or I would be in trouble! 😱 7y

JenlovesJT47 @hermyknee yes thank you, I have your email address. Finishing up the rest of the matches this afternoon. I'll make a post and tag everyone once I get the rest sent out 🙃 7y
hermyknee Yay!! Thank you for setting this up! I‘m so excited! 7y
WarpedSweetness I haven't read Amish romances in a long time. When I lived in PA I used to check them out of the library all the time when I wanted an easy read. And I agree, do not read them while hungry!! 7y
JenlovesJT47 @WarpedSweetness exactly, I like reading them when I want to relax. I'd love to visit Amish country someday! 7y
WarpedSweetness @JenlovesJT47 That's what I did too, especially not my anxiety was bad and I wanted to read, but couldn't. They were good for that. I used to go to Lancaster, which was technically Amish country in PA. It was nice. I liked buying their stuff at farmer's markets, especially their food. 7y
JenlovesJT47 @WarpedSweetness I bet their food is great! I have a few Amish cookbooks that are really nice. 7y
WarpedSweetness @JenlovesJT47 Their food is really good. At least the stuff I've purchased. The one farmer's market, the Amish who sold there had these amazing Welsh cookies and shoo-fly pie. Mmm...I'm hungry now. Pity I'm too far away from PA. 7y
