A man sets out in a kayak intending to scatter his father's ashes. But a storm arises: he is struck by lightning and left lost, disoriented, wounded, and at the mercy of the elements. Now he must find a way to return to a home he barely remembers.
The prose is spare and visceral, arranged with the generous whitespace of a poem. It's a captivating story well told and effectively presented. It's a good one, y'all.
