#BlackCatChallenge Day 31: I truly think this will make for a perfect #Halloween treat to book-lovers. Imagine being consumed by that which you love most. The illustrations are glorious – I love its scrap-book-y vibe and the collage artistic style is perfect for the sinister, fanged, ravenous feel of this continually-famished book. This is a fun creepy book that we read a couple of times a year. It‘s perfect for Halloween! My kids haven‘t tired of it yet. I snap the book shut at the end and it is still scary even though they know what‘s coming. 😈

TracyReadsBooks Love this book. Definitely a favorite in our library! 6y

I culled 6 grocery sacks (stuffed) of kid books from the shelves and it doesn‘t even look like it! 😅

The tagged book is quite amusing, mine still love it because I suddenly & loudly SNAP it closed at the end. It still spooks them. 😆

TracyReadsBooks The Book That Eats People is a popular one in our library! 7y
Tamra @TracyReadsBooks I can understand why. It has a fun noir feel about it. 7y

Heads up: do not read this to an easily scared, anxious, or very sensitive child. It really is a creepy, dark book. That being said, it is grimly funny, and while my 5-year old was tentative about it, he wanted me to keep reading. No happy endings here, so beware. Great collage art.
