What the Night Knows
What the Night Knows | Dean R. Koontz
In the late summer of a long-ago year, Alton Turner Blackwood brutally murdered four families. His savage spree ended only when he himself was killed by the only survivor of the last family, a 14-year-old boy. Half a continent away and two decades later, someone is murdering families again, re-creating in detail Blackwood's crimes. This tall Premium Edition includes the bonus novella "Darkness Under the Sun."

I really liked this. It drew me in immediately. It did slow down in the middle and it picked up again at the end. It is horror, it is violent. I found many parts of it, especially at the start, very creepy (which I love, but wasn‘t great to be reading right before bed, which I mostly was for this one!). Definitely creepy.

Being my first Dean Koontz novel I really enjoyed it. It never got dull for me, unlike a lot of other people said from the reviews.

TommieMarie74 I love Dean Koontz. I highly recommend his Odd Thomas series. 7y

So can we talk about how mirrors and ghosts go together? Mirrors are a doorway to the spirit realm and Dean Koontz is talking about that? It‘s creeping me it because I already hate mirrors for this reason. I never look at them at night.

Debiw781 I never look at mirrors if the lights aren't all on! 7y
Booknerd222 Saaaame. I‘ve never really had a experience with them, but I‘m not gonna purposely stare at one for shits and giggles. 7y

Excited to start this one... I haven't read Koontz in years, and he used to be a favorite of mine!

The premise of this of this had me straight away, so far seems more supernatural than I was expecting. Intriguing thus far...

I read a lot of horror novels. Not many keep me up at night. This one did. I had nightmares about the "bad guy." I wasn't too happy with the ending, seemed too easy for Mr. Koontz. But, it did really freak me out, so all the stars!
