pickI enjoyed this biography of William Hartnell written by his granddaughter (and given the First Doctor's companion, I found it especially appropriate that Jessica was the one to write this book). It is illuminating and shows Hartnell as much more than the Doctor, although he did blaze the trail for others to follow.

#bookhaul Xmas 2017 edition! The tagged book is highly appropriate for today's Doctor Who special. Santa brought me the Orkneyinga Saga and the Dunnett book. My brother gave me Les Mis. The Spinetti was a book my dad had originally seen in Hay but didn't pick up (me: "I would TOTALLY have bought that!") so he got it from AbeBooks.
