It's about all those rights of passage, those big steps towards the future, and the changes for the family members left behind. The thing is...not all the "growing up" is done by the kids in this story... and the effects of their choices are just as long lasting and wide spread...not only for themselves but those connected to them.

What a book! Rouda combines everything you could ask for in a suspenseful, secret-filled story about seniors finishing up high school. Set in an upper class neighborhood filled with picturesque families, this book teaches there's always more than meets the eye. Twist after twist, this book never stops. One of the best books I've read all year.

Started and finished this one in a day. Thought it was a good light read which is nice sometimes. Loved how the characters each had a viewpoint/chapter and the coming together of all involved. Couple of editing issues but nothing major. But this paperback was HEAVY!, anyone else think so?!?! Glad I finished in one day and didn't have to tote this tome in my bag on Monday errands!

This wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be. I expected more humor and not so much drama. It was good with some instances hitting home in regards to empty nest. Had a bit of trouble overlooking editing issues. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

There's a storm rolling in so more time to read!! This book is fitting as my last child is starting his senior year and the empty nest will hit once he graduates.

I cannot believe how engrossed I was in this book, from page one until the end. I didn't want to put it down for even a second, and when I had to: I kept thinking about it until I could pick it up again. Even with the characters I thought deplorable, I just couldn't turn away. Great multi-POV story!

Pelican71 My daughter graduates at the end of this month. I'm thinking this book may go to the top of my TBR list. What better way to spend Mother's Day book money? 9y
