I had a very hard time getting into this one but am glad I stuck it out. After about the first 1/3 it picked up and was really good. A very unique story line and interesting characters. I absolutely love this cover. 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A cute kid-friendly ghost story with just enough to make you a tad bit on edge. Danny‘s older brother has left for college and instead of getting to move into the big room, his parents decide to rent it out. Only the room is haunted, but his parents don‘t believe it. Danny and his friend set out to prove there is a ghost and have one heck of an adventure. I would recommend to middle school age. Thank you NetGalley for the early review.4⭐️
Mooncakes is the perfect story for this time of year. It has witches, spells, and a werewolf. Add in some teenage angst, a budding love story, and friendship and I think that covers it all. I wasn‘t extremely fond of the story line. It felt lacking in a way, but it is cute and has a good moral. 3.5⭐️ Thank you NetGalley for the early review copy.
This book was a total gut punch. Ava‘s story is one of determination, heartbreak, and making it through to see another day. Life after the fire that burned the majority of Ava‘s body has not been easy. It only gets worse when her aunt pushes her to go back to high school. Enter Piper, another burn survivor. The two conquer their fears and issues together. This book was amazing. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you NetGalley for the early review copy.
This one was okay. The story felt very jumbled but I loved the illustration. A kidnapped child in a world of magical females. One brother will stop at nothing to find his sister. 3🌟🌟🌟
I‘m trying to catch up on my reviews and my brain is completely muddled with too many books. I loved this one with all the action and the characters were amazing. Kaz... love to hate the guy. This was my first Bardugo book and it won‘t be my last. Looking forward to the next one. 4🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is a fun take on a teenage rom-com. It has everything from Twitter fights, secret crushes, a class clown, and an overachiever. As Pepper and Jack fight it out on Twitter, their lives become more entwined than they realize. Pepper is stressed about getting into college but is bogged down with her family business‘s Twitter account. Jack, the class clown, just wants to create apps instead of running the family deli. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC
Jules is down and out after her breakup, but life seems to take a turn for the better when she gets a dream job being an apartment sitter. What happens next will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Riley Sager does it again. I loved this book. The action and suspense had me reading late into the night. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you NetGalley for the early review copy.
I loved this one!!! At first the layout of the book was a bit off putting but man once I was used to it I ate this one up. I had my guesses as to who was behind everything g but they were so wrong. I love these two authors. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I finished this one awhile ago and never got around to reviewing it. The story was good, but I feel like it could have been a few hundred pages shorter. I was excited to go see the movie but have been hearing how awful it is. Has anyone seen it? 3.5 🌟
I have a circus theme going right now. Cory‘s life is amazing. Traveling with the circus is all she has ever dreamed about until the night of the fire. Her life turns completely upside down and she has to learn to live life like a normal teenager. Not as easy as it sounds. The story follows Corey along through the joys and the heartaches of high school life all the while she is hiding her true identity. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC. 4 ⭐️
Vacation calls for a great book. I‘m way late to the game but loved every inch of this book. The characters, the story, the suspense. EVERYTHING. Can‘t wait for her new book to come out now. 5 🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪 for this one.
Annabelle is a penniless country girl who has The good fortune to be granted a position as one of the few women at Oxford. This book is an enjoyable jaunt through Annabelle‘s journey dealing with Oxford, the suffragist movement, and most importantly the Duke. I truly enjoyed reading Annabelle‘s story and how she dealt with each and every obstacle, even if she was very stubborn along the way. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thanks NetGalley for the early review copy.
I enjoyed this but at times was very put off by the treatment of the dogs. Getting beyond that the story had a great message and was very interesting being told by the dog‘s point of view. I know Max would 100% not make it in the wild lol. 4 🐶🐶🐶🐶
This story had it all. Mystery, romance, action, witchcraft, and magic. This was right up my alley. Theodora is chasing after her missing father who is a treasure hunter and is on a mission to find Vlad the Impaler‘s, or better known as Dracula, cursed ring. Theodora‘s life will never be the same after this wild chase through Romania. Thank you NetGalley for the early review copy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Did a combo book and audio for this one. I rather enjoyed this and looked forward to my commute to get back to the story. Loved all the quirky characters and had several extreme cringe worthy moments. No spoilers here. That‘s a sign of really being into a book. 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I wish litsy had videos/audio because this beautiful man who kicked my butt on my bike today sounded exactly like what I envisioned Prince Henry sounding like. That British accent 😍. This book was so much fun. I enjoyed every bit of it. It definitely lived up to the hype for me. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If I had to sum this one up in one word it would be weird. I enjoyed it, but found myself shaking my head at the oddity of some things. And if you aren‘t one for cliffhangers don‘t even come near this. I seriously felt like I was running full speed and hit a brick wall the way it abruptly ended. All in all is was good, not great. 3.5-4 🌟
I really enjoyed this one. Brought me back to my earlier years with younger kids. Oh what I wouldn‘t have done for a “momspringa” back then. Such a fun book. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A cute story line, but the main character really bothered me. She was a bit too prickly for me but looking at the title maybe that was the intent. The ending felt a bit rushed and too wrapped up in a pretty bow for me. I did finish so that means something. 3.5 🌟
I loved this book. It was just what I needed at this particular moment. I had no idea what it was about going into it so that was fun. The only draw back I had was that in reading/listening I pictured a fictional world and it really bothered me that this was all supposed to be taking place in New York. Not a fan of that. Other than that I loved it. I did a combo of audio and reading. Also didn‘t realize it was the start of a series. 4.5 🌟
This one was so much fun. Nothing earth shattering but a cute romcom that kept me engaged. I loved the audio version. I loved the alternating points of view and their accents. Girl breaks up with boy, moves in with random stranger to share a flat, story unfolds with their interactions. Loved it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Max has the right idea. Sleeping away. This one wasn‘t ground breaking. Was expecting a bit more so wasn‘t a big fan. Felt like a lot of issues were trying to be jammed in one story. 3🌟
Unpopular opinion here. Not my favorite. I was so confused for most of the time. But I will say parts of it really did make me laugh so that‘s why I‘m giving it a pick. Now on to watch the show to see if I can be less confused. 3.5 🌟
This one was a bit tough for me. The story was an interesting concept. A peaceful alien invasion and how life continued on with the aliens helping with technology and medical advancements. Some of the characters really grabbed me, but there were so many ancillary characters that I got a bit confused. Thank you #NetGalley for the early review copy. 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
So I‘m trying to get through a bunch of my #NetGalley books before their publish dates. Didn‘t make it for this one but I LOVED it anyways. Didn‘t see the ending coming until, well the end. Read this in a day and a half so that tells me it was a good one. Kept me reading that‘s for sure. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Evvie Drake is recently widowed and has shut herself off from her life. Dean Tenney is a struggling ex-pro baseball player who is dealing with the “yips”. The two lives collide when Dean rents out the apartment in Evvie‘s too large house. This is a story of getting on with life after being dealt a hand full of hardship. There is heartache, laughter, romance, and a lot of fun in this light and fun summer read. Thanks #Netgalley for the ARC ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love when a story mixes mystery with a bit of romance and a pinch of magic. We follow Grace, a scientist, as her quest for her PhD gets derailed and she comes to the aid of her aunt who has been hurt. Grace makes new friends and meets the handsome Dario as she is tasked with keeping the magic shop afloat amid threats on the surrounding community. This was a great mystery with everything included. Thank you #Netgalley for the adv copy. 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tansy has had the worst New Years ever and all she wants is to get her boyfriend Renzo back. On her quest to win Renzo‘s heart back, she is thrown several curve balls and learns to love herself in the process. This was a cute rom-com that I enjoyed. It was touted as a hilarious feel good read. Hilarious... ehh but feel good for sure. A definite summer beach read. Thank you NetGalley for the early review copy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Unpopular opinion coming. I wasn‘t the biggest fan of this one. I didn‘t give up so it at least held my attention enough for me to finish but I just couldn‘t get invested in the characters or their stories for some reason. But I absolutely love the cover 🤪. 3 🌟🌟🌟
I had no idea what this was about going in and I loved it. Computer geeks, video games, teenage boys and the lengths they will go for stupid ideas, and young love. This is one that I would like to read again to catch some of the little hints in the code at the beginning of the chapters. As soon as my TBR is smaller... hahahaha who am I kidding. 4🌟🌟🌟🌟
I had the pleasure of obtaining a copy of this through NetGalley. It was an enjoyable story of two sisters and how they lived their lives through trials, heartaches, joys, and love. There was a strong undercurrent of how the lives of women have changed throughout the years and how far we have come and the acceptance of differences. But the strongest theme was the love of family and how family will always be there no matter what. 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I‘m so sad this is over. I am so going to miss all these characters. I was very happy with the way the story concluded. I will always have 😍 for Legend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Oh what a blast from the past. When I saw this come up as a kindle deal I had to get it. Life at the age of a 6th grader felt so hard back then. I really enjoyed my trip back to the past. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I‘m not sure why I do this to myself! How long do I have to wait for the next book??? 😳😳😵 That ending though. I was totally engrossed through the whole story. What a ride. I think I might have liked this one more than the first. They were both very good. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
So excited for my BOTM pics this month. Been looking forward to The Bride Test. Just need to finish all the others so I can get to it. Beautiful day out.
This was a cute middle grade take on friendship and the struggles of not wanting to be the odd one out. It had a great underlying message with a some very interesting characters. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love ARC day at work! I am so happy about Stepsister! It‘s been on my to buy list for a bit. Can‘t wait to read it!!
I have had this book and audio forever and I don‘t know why it took me so long to get to it. The story was so fun and different. Once I finished I immediately downloaded Thunderhead and will start it on my commute to work today. I can‘t wait to get back into this world. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I am loving this series! I finished this one last month and forgot to put this up. Clayton‘s world building is amazing and I can‘t wait for the next book to come out. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book was so bizarre and I loved it. The ever changing points of view were fun and the story had me in its grips the entire time. I‘m really trying to get through my BOTM books since I have such a back log. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I finally tackled this one. I started it before and got a bit scared so I put it aside. I‘m so glad I picked it back up, or more like listened in the daylight on my commute. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4 🤩🤩🤩🤩.
Okay I get why there was so much hype for this one. It made me laugh, cry, get angry, and feel content. It put me through every emotion possible. Oh Cyril Avery you have carved a little place in my heart. I loved how all the characters revolved around each other and then finally came together in the end. Such a great novel. Listed to a good portion on audio because this books weighs a TON. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I was really looking forward to this one since it had so much hype going around and it didn‘t let me down. It was a fun look at what the rock n roll lifestyle is like. I loved the characters, even Eddie when he was being pissy. 4🌟
I FINALLY FINISHED A BOOK!!!! This one took me forever to finish but not because it was bad. I just couldn‘t get myself to read for some reason. I enjoyed the beginning of this world and the action of the story. I have already downloaded the next book but have another to read first. 4🌟
This was my first book by Ng and I enjoyed it. Didn‘t love it because it left me feeling a bit like I missed something here or there. But all in all it was good and I will read more by her. 4🌟. And thank god for audiobooks. Can‘t seem to get myself to read an actual book right now for some reason. Reading slumps SUCK!!
I enjoyed this one but I wasn‘t wowed by it. It was cute and I liked how the story played out. Ove made his way into my heart. I know several grumpy old men like him. 4 🌟
