Powerful statement: “I don‘t have a problem being gay. It‘s everybody else.”
Just because Jon/Jay is gay, this doesn‘t give Tyler the right to mistreat him.
I have had enough of Tyler. He is rude, inconsiderate, and jealous. Just because he has suffered a season-ending injury, this does not mean that he has the right to say this about David, his “best friend:” “He‘s a fairy with the hots for the new kid.”
How many people have ever felt like this?
I think it‘s better to just not text people at all. The only things that‘s worse than not getting a text from someone first is sending them a text and then having them not respond. It‘s excruciating.

I can‘t stand intolerance and ignorance.
Now here this: One more outburst or use of language like that in my classroom and the world of pain I will rain down on you will be the stuff of legend.

Brandon Sears...He‘s this monster black dude who transferred in from Jefferson last year.Six feet five inches and roughly the size of an apartment complex. We call him Sears Tower.

pickIt was so heartbreaking and it makes me so upset that some people can't be who they are, that they have to hide the fact that they're gay because they wouldn't be accepted or because they'd be bullied. This book was a really good read and I would absolutely recommend it.
