Pickpick

Kerry Fisher does it again. Now read three of her books, which all start off quite unassuming but with real life family situations end up totally hooking you and making you want to read on to find out how this situation resolved itself. If you enjoy reading books that deal with possible family situations and the effect it has on people in the family I strongly recommend her books. They are great as audiobooks too.

Ugh, my free audible pick for Feb. I thought this would be a mystery with a bit of thriller thrown in but it's just a straight up (dull) narrative about a woman who has a baby out of wedlock. I'm pushing on until the bitter end for whatever reason but don't imagine it will improve.

Mehso-so

Just finished reading this. It‘s about a woman in the 60s that gives her son up for adoption, her husband was away in the Navy and the child is not his. It follows her story and feelings about the secret she is keeping and how it affects her and her family, who know nothing about the child. It‘s a good story but ran a little long, I found myself skimming some pages, and things were tied up a little too neatly in the end.
