Fall of Light
Fall of Light: Book Two of the Kharkanas Trilogy | Steven Erikson
8 posts | 1 read | 6 to read
Steven Erikson returns to the Malazan world with the second book in a dark and revelatory new epic fantasy trilogy, one that takes place a millennium before the events in his New York Times bestselling Malazan Book of the Fallen. Fall of Light continues to tell the tragic story of the downfall of an ancient realm, a story begun in the critically acclaimed Forge of Darkness. It's a conflicted time in Kurald Galain, the realm of Darkness, where Mother Dark reigns. But this ancient land was once home to many a power... and even death is not quite eternal. The commoners' great hero, Vatha Urusander, is being promoted by his followers to take Mother Dark's hand in marriage, but her Consort, Lord Draconus, stands in the way of such ambitions. The impending clash sends fissures throughout the realm. As rumors of civil war burn through the masses, an ancient power emerges from the long dead seas. Caught in the middle of it all are the First Sons of Darkness, Anomander, Andarist, and Silchas Ruin of the Purake Hold...

Such an easy way of describing hate as a destructive process either collectively or individually. Why must hate exist, why must we cater to its existence. Every individual has the right to@live as he or she wants... as long as no harm comes to others or self. Society needs to readjust and look at why there are still so many problems with hate that still exist. 😨

minkyb Lots to ponder here. 6y
Lreads I think it's sad that so many people choose to live with closed minds and small hearts. 6y
Ddzmini @minkyb there are many passages in the books you read on an average day that makes you stop and think 🤔 this just made me stop. Think. And put something out there for others to think on 😝 see I like to share in the thinking department 😝🤣😋 6y
Ddzmini @QuietlyLaura exactly the more open minded and open hearted you are the more you‘re able too enjoy everything and life is SO much simpler 😋 6y
Lreads I totally agree! There is so much more joy to be found in lives lived with open hearts and minds. 😊 6y
