Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog find excitement and adventure wherever they go in Enid Blyton's most popular series. In book nineteen, the Famous Five travel to Demon's Rocks and discover a very old and valuable gold coin. Demon's Rocks is famous for its stories of bountiful treasure, but if the myth is reality, who does the treasure belong to? The Five are determined to find out, but first they need to know who else is exploring Demon's Rocks for the treasure... Fantastic new cover art by Laura Ellen Anderson will draw young readers into this accessible timeless classic.

No farmer‘s wife, gorse, rabbits or castles in this one! There was loot in caves though...ancient, long-lost loot stolen by wreckers, no less! No casual racism but lots of sexism; the boys treat Anne as if she‘s some kind of slave, telling her to ‘buck up with the sandwiches [while we sit on our arses and do boy things like look at compasses and sharpen our penknives]‘ However, she isn‘t actually referred to as a ‘housewife.‘

“George was pleased to be called Master George. It was nice to be thought a boy. She dug her hands deep down in the pockets of her jeans.” ...which she was able to do because they were boys‘ jeans and therefore had actual pockets bigger than the size of a lipstick...
