No farmer‘s wife, gorse, rabbits or castles in this one! There was loot in caves though...ancient, long-lost loot stolen by wreckers, no less! No casual racism but lots of sexism; the boys treat Anne as if she‘s some kind of slave, telling her to ‘buck up with the sandwiches [while we sit on our arses and do boy things like look at compasses and sharpen our penknives]‘ However, she isn‘t actually referred to as a ‘housewife.‘
