I am reading a book called Kicks by Nicholas Smith discussing the history of Sneakers and it‘s evolution from a shoe for athletes (track) to the mainstream consumer and its volatility of one brand to another. It‘s a fascinating read. I love a good moving non-fiction story and this is one of those books. So much so I‘ve had to start watching old commercials to remind myself of the genius of those early consumer gobbles of the high priced KICKS.
