Everyone thinks Lulu is a bulldog, but she knows that can't be true, because Lulu is a Rhinoceros-that is what she sees staring back at her when she looks in the mirror. But sometimes, being yourself can be a difficult road to walk. And just when all hope seems lost, Lulu finds a small friend that makes a big difference in her life when she realizes that the courage to be herself has been inside of her all along... The first picture book in its series, Lulu is Rhinoceros takes readers on an adventure through the big city to fetch and retrieve the most important possession Lulu owns-her identity! With adorable and vibrant artwork by the inimitable illustrator Sophie Corrigan, Lulu is a Rhinoceros explores social themes addressing individuality, tolerance, and most importantly, acceptance-with laughter and excitement throughout! ***A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the African Wildlife Foundation to help protect Africa's endangered wildlife and sustain the invaluable environment they live in*** ABOUT THE AUTHORSJason FlomJason Flom is the CEO of Lava Records and Lava Music Publishing, having previously served as Chairman and CEO at Atlantic Records, Virgin Records, and Capitol Music Group. Lulu is a Rhinoceros is a great book about acceptance and identity. Lulu is a bulldog on the outside but sees herself as a rhinoceros in the mirror and she wishes more than anything that people would see her for her true identity. She goes through many trials in the book to acquire a horn so that people will finally see her as she truly is: a rhinoceros. This is a great F book for GR due to its difficult verbiage and font.

4.5 ⭐️ Ahhhh. Lulu may look like a bulldog but deep down she is really a rhino. This could almost be a simile for transgender kids, or helping to explain transgender to kids. I said almost because the end. But that could even work as well, because it only took one person to see that Lulu was a rhino. Even if you don‘t go in for the transgender simile the story is still adorable. The illustrations are on point, and bring the story to life.

I know it‘s a children‘s book, but I need it!

Jazruiz.2014 Look at How to Live With a Neurotic Dog. Very cute. Not a kids book necessarily but a funny book about living with a dog, from a dog‘s perspective. 6y
