Not Without You
Not Without You | Harriet Evans
1 post | 2 read
From internationally bestselling author Harriet Evans comes an intriguing and fresh new novel about a famous modern-day actress whose fate becomes intertwined with a glamorous movie star from the 1950s who vanished many years earlier. HOW CAN THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW YOU WHEN YOU HARDLY KNOW YOURSELF? Sophie Leighs real name is Sophie Sykes. But she hasnt been called that for years, not since she became an A-list movie star. Living in Los Angeles, she can forget all about the life she left behind in England. But shes lost something of herself in the process, too. Glamorous 1950s starlet Eve Noel had none of Sophies modern self-confidence. She didnt choose her name. A Hollywood producer did. In fact, he made all her decisionswhat to wear, when to smile, who to love. Right up until the day she simply vanished from the spotlight. No one knows where she went, or why. As Sophies perfect-on-the-outside world begins to crumble, her present collides with Eves past. She must unravel the mystery around her idols disappearance before its too late for them both.

Mehso-so

This was one of those so-so books. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it but it's going in the donation pile rather than staying on my shelf as it's not one of those books I'll pass around to friends. ? Now I'm wondering, are you someone who can just move onto the next book when you're not loving one - or are you like me and do you keep on reading? ? I'm actually glad I kept reading this one as it did get better - just not great ?

Kaitlyn.keith.529 I have to finish. It just feels wrong if I stop reading in the middle. I'd have to really not like it 7y
southerninlaw @Kaitlyn.keith.529 I know right?!?! I feel like I'd forever wonder if it got better 😜 7y
Avanders It takes a lot for me to put down a book.... it has to be really bad (to me at that time ;p), or realllllly boring... 7y
