A superb new book featuring the captivating Detective Rachel Prince. I haven‘t read the first book in the series but it wasn‘t necessary. This story is a stand alone crime novel which kept me thinking and wondering from page one. The police procedural passages were excellent and compelling with just enough human interest (in Rachel‘s private life) to keep me reading into the small hours. Brilliant!

I haven‘t read the first in the series and this is number two but I haven‘t been lost or confused at all. It is a gripping detective mystery and I am almost halfway through. A new author to watch 😁
