Well not my favourite in the series, but still a nice mystery read. And it‘s always lovely to spend time with Emily and Colin. Interested to see what the Edwardian era brings them

Fresh bedtime reading.
I‘m not sure how I lost track of this series, but I‘m so glad I picked this up. An interesting mystery set at the beginning of the Edwardian period , plus some family backstory from the early 15th century. Lady Emily is such a likable character, and the supporting characters are wonderful. 4⭐️ And since the Tower of London is the setting for several scenes, one of my pictures from there.
“Anyone who knows me is all too aware that I cannot claim a close acquaintance with the virtue of patience, despite numerous attempts to woo it.”
Ah, yes, my favorite prayer: Lord , give me patience and give it to me now! 😂
I haven‘t read a Lady Emily mystery in a couple years, but I‘ve always enjoyed them. I took this along this afternoon when I went with hubby to his doctor appointment. Too much drama in the waiting room to get much read, though. Actually, it would make a good story. I was laughing with the office manager before we left; she swears sitting in the waiting room is as good as going to a Broadway show 😄
thought it was going to run its self out. but can't wait for the next one!
Latest installment in the Lady Emily series. Dual storylines and timelines this time wherein we get to learn a bit more about Colin's family background. In all honesty I found myself more drawn to the older timeline; the one that didn't have Emily and Colin solving a mystery. Not the best in the series and it's hard to tell where things may be going next but still a solid addition.
