I enjoyed this one quite a bit, though I'm invested in the character due to the show so there's some bias warning.
My favorite thing about Saru is the fact that while his approach is often different, his loyalty, resolve, and sense of duty is just as strong, if not stronger, than others.
Doug Jones in conversation with Dr. Terrence Wandtke. A lovely person in every way!
And now, for the final event of the conference, Doug Jones, aka Saru on Star Trek Discovery, aka, the creature from Shape of Water, aka the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth, aka, every other monster you can think of. He has a receiving line.
It's a Very Star Trek Episode but a book! I liked spending time with Saru, but I wish we had learned a bit more about him. I'm sure they're saving it for the show.
