Pouncing on Murder
Pouncing on Murder: A Bookmobile Cat Mystery | Laurie Cass
6 posts | 8 read | 3 to read
Curl up with the latest from the national bestselling author of Borrowed Crime... Springtime in Chilson, Michigan, means it's librarian Minnie Hamilton's favorite time of year: maple syrup season! But her excitement fades when her favorite syrup provider, Henry Gill, dies in a sugaring accident. Its tough news to swallow...even if the old man wasnt as sweet as his product. On the bookmobile rounds with her trusty rescue cat Eddie, Minnie meets Adam, the old man's friend, who was with him when he died. Adam is convinced Henrys death wasnt an accident, and fears that his own life is in danger. With the police overworked, it's up to Minnie and Eddie to tap all their resources for cluesbefore Adam ends up in a sticky situation...

Another Bookmobile Cat Mystery. I really enjoy the anthropomorphizing of the cat character. Eddie is definitely a character. And much more logical than the main character but I'm growing fond of Minnie also. I'm sure by the end of the series I'll find her adorable. Or I'll wish she'd never existed. #37-2022

Happy 4th everybody! It‘s been a lazy holiday here with mostly reading after the traditional viewing of Independence Day!

I generally like these books, but I liked this one less. Minnie does some stupid things here, and I kept forgetting who the murder victim was. The pictures are from my walk while listening. Then, totally non-book related — my daughter graduated from college on Saturday. 😊

BookNAround Congratulations on the graduate!! 4y
KathyWheeler @BookNAround Thank you! I‘m so proud of her. 😊 4y
Sace Beautiful pics! And congrats to daughter! 4y

And now it‘s time for outdoor paper book reading - it‘s too nice to be inside. Plus inside is my Edie-cat, who just bit my finger because it smelled like cat treats - I‘m afraid to sit with her until I wash my hands, or she might eat me. 😬😆

It's always a good time riding along with Eddie on his boat or bookmobile.
