From the off this engages, confuses & intrigues. Then, rare feat, maintains it for a good 97% of the book! The premise is not just hooky, it's executed really well. The midway twist is a huge change of direction and here flags briefly for that 3% but there's still enough unanswered questions to get the pace back up to frenetic speed. Fleshed out characters & strong ending that I hadn't figured out in advance. V. enjoyable fiction.

New for today. Really hope this one hits the mark as the last few I've read have been largely unsatisfying.

With thanks to #netgalley for this book.

This book gave me nightmares. It shouldn't have, it's not particularly gruesome or violent but still I had nightmares. Lots of twists and unexpected things in this and I'll never be able to look at a seashore again

Set in Wiltshire, UK, a young women turns up at Tony and Laura‘s house, saying it was her home. They take her in being kind ! and find that she has amnesia and can‘t remember her name.

A really original tale that keeps you turning the pages. Some fantastic twists to keep you guessing and bring the story to a satisfying end.

thanks to the Author/the Publishers/NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair, honest review

” ‘It‘s going to be OK,‘ he says, one hand above him, ready to close the boot door. He manages a smile that I am unable to return. My legs are tucked up into the foetal position. ‘Only for a few hours, maybe a day or two.‘ A click and my world turns black. “......Ohhh this is creepy, just whose who ?

“‘Welcome home,‘ he whispers. I want to scream, but I can‘t move. What does he mean? I wish Laura would come upstairs. I‘m trying to be brave, but I‘m so fucking scared here. I can‘t remember my own name.”.......ohhh this is getting creepy
