I preferred Volume 2, and almost forgot to log and review this book as a result. I like how the girls have been developed and appreciate their care toward the troll. On the other hand, I would like to see more character development of the boys too in the future volumes. I didn't love the ending, but I liked the book as a whole and Allison's work in general enough to read the next one.

For some reason I thought I had the first volume, so I was confused by the “jump right in” style and had to find my bearings. I enjoyed it, though, and will go back and read the first two.

Currently too migraine to read new stuff / lots of text, revisiting some old favorites. Charlotte is the best and this is probably my favorite quote from the series thusfar, after she says no to a date.
