Physically, this is a beautiful book.
Stylistically, it‘s very skilled. The reader feels immersed in 1936 & 1952 Kentucky. And the twists are unexpected.
But something‘s missing that leaves the reader unsatisfied. It may be Juna‘s motivation: she‘s not nice, & it‘s largely left unexplained. There‘s also the hint of incest - never explored, yet never discounted enough to be resolved.
Still 3⭐️ for suspense. But I won‘t be raving about it.
