Barbara Smith, the TV personality known as B. Smith, was one of the country‘s first high-profile black models and went on to become an author, restaurateur and lifestyle maven. Smith has died after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer‘s. She was 70. RIP Peace. I loved her tv show and the tagged memoir. Heard that she and her husband narrate the audio version.💔

Don't even know how to react to this book except to say that this man must be a saint. He is the main narrator in the book and this sweet husband frankly lays it all out there about dealing with Alzheimer's. Everyone should read this, if for nothing else than to know the warning signs/beginning stages of the disease. So much love, forgiveness and giving in his words for his wife. Can't recommend this book enough.

To me this was a sad story. To see a loved one change from Alzheimer's is devastating. I didn't know much about the disease, I'm shocked how many get it and how little there is to slow the disease down or stop it. I found this well worth the read. #RIFWinner

CouronneDhiver This was my first book of 2017 and ... you're right. Alzheimer's is awful but I feel that they handled it with indescribable grace. ❤️ 7y

The thought that 67 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's yet there are only 3 drugs to help possibly slow it down just shocks me. More people are living with this disease than I realized.
