Pickpick

Oh how this book was wrapped up in a tidy bow at the end! The main character, Bateena, is looking for love, and she finds just that in a boy named Brady. Things go from blissful teenage love to something darker in a matter of months. We see Bateena struggle with her relationship until she meets a new boy nicknamed Cowboy. The book describes the startling differences between her two relationships. This book is full of love and heartbreak.

This book ABSOLUTELY needs to be in every high school library! It discusses a subject matter that I rarely see in YA lit.

From what I've read so far, I think this should be included in every high school library. Boyfriend/girlfriend abuse is not commonly discussed, and I think it would make a great addition to any library.

Mehso-so

Left feeling decidedly meh. Really don‘t know what else to say. Unfortunate as it looked at certain points that this book could be dealing with domestic abuse in high school relationships but that was never fully brought full circle, in my opinion.
